World's Classical Masterpieces- Peter Tchaikovsky

Swan Lake Finale - Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky

Tchaikovsky at Cambridge, 1893.
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (May 7, 1840 - November 6, 1893) was a Russian composer of the Romantic era. While not part of the nationalistic music group known as "The Five," Tchaikovsky wrote music which was distinctly Russian: plangent, introspective, with modally- inflected melody and harmony. Tchaikovsky died on November 6, 1893, nine days after the premiere of his Sixth Symphony, the Pathetique.

World Famous Timeless Masterpieces - Michelangelo

Michelangelo's Pieta in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarotti Simoni (March 6, 1475 - February 18, 1564) commonly known as Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, poet and engineer. Despite making few forays beyond the arts, his versatility in the disciplines he took up was of such a high order that he is often considered a contender for the title of the archetypal Renaissance man, along with his rival and fellow Italian Leonardo da Vinci. He died on February 18, 1564 in Rome at the age of 88.
